Vashti Vershoor is the April Spotlight Artist at the Downtown Art Gallery in Titusville. Her acrylic paintings are colorful, often whimsical interpretations of tropical themes. Waves splash out of the painting onto the frame. Sea horses swim among black-eyed susans. Peacocks frolic amid sea grapes. The paintings are sure to make you smile while challenging you to expand your view of the world.

Vashti was born and raised in Brevard County Living in coastal, central Florida has been a primary focus.. “ “I don’t always paint beaches or sea-grass, boats and fish, but everything I do paint is inspired by the colors & lifestyle that living by the sea brings!”

Vashti’s art is expressive and full of joy reflecting her loving outlook and delight in being a wife and mother. Life Is a process, and like the reclaimed wood she often uses, love and care can be transformative. Art can create Beauty from Ashes, Strength from Pain, and Joy from Mourning. She hopes her work inspires others to find the joy in their lives.
