The Historic Jungle trail winds for nearly 8 miles (16 miles round-trip) along a sandy road through the hammock habitat of Florida’s barrier islands north of Vero Beach. The road is sandy but mostly hard packed and good for wide-tire bicycles. Some places can get soft at times. The road is the original Highway A1A and has a few historic sites along the way.
Please read all about the trail here: https://www.traillink.com/trail/historic-jungle-trail/
Afterwards, we could stop at a café on A1A for lunch if anyone is interested.
