Celebrate the 5th by paddling the beautiful river up to a bar for margaritas & cervezas, search for dolphins, eat tacos, & enjoy the beach!
It’s no secret, we love all things Mexico and we’ll use any excuse to celebrate!
Come to the Space Coast and paddle the beautiful Banana River! We’ll launch from our riverside oasis and paddle the shoreline, soaking up salt air and sun, and seeking wildlife! The river is home to dolphins, manatees, sting rays, and many species of birds and fish. We’ll paddle to the spots they love to hang out.
Once we work up a thirst, we’ll dock up to Squid Lips riverside restaurant, and rehydrate with cold margaritas and cervezas! Salúd!
Once refreshed, we’ll paddle back to our launch site, take a dip in the pool, then walk across the street to Taco City – a staple taco establishment of Cocoa Beach! Here, we’ll fill our hungry bellies full of tacos – and good thing it’s just steps away from the beach, where we can lay in the sand, digest and enjoy the ocean.
SUP Skill Level: Beginner to Advanced. Instruction provided. Participants must know how to swim and be confident on the water.
Kids 12 years old and younger are recommended to ride along with an experienced adult at no cost. If your child is younger and an experienced paddler, please contact Jessica to discuss as decisions will be made on a person by person basis.
Tour Duration: 3 hours, with 1 hour at Squid Lips. After party at Taco City and then the beach until 3p (enjoy the beach as long as you want, but our location will close).
Guide: Jessica Cichra is a SUP enthusiast that has been actively paddle touring, racing, surfing, and instructing since 2009. She is the founder of Wave of Wellness, a company with a mission to empower clients through adventurous activities that enhance all areas of well-being with a focus on travel, SUP, yoga, and community. Jessica guides paddle tours in the greater Orlando area and internationally on adventure travel retreats. She is also an industry representative as a sponsored ambassador/athlete for prAna, Surftech, Werner Paddles, Local Honey Designs, and Maui Jim.
